The NW/MET 2026 Conference will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the A. Ray Olpin Student Union, on the campus of the University of Utah, and the Salt Lake Community College – South City campus.
The Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is less than a 30 minute drive away.
TRAX
The airport and the University of Utah campus are both also on the Salt Lake City TRAX light rail network. Take the Green Line from the Airport Station to Courthouse Station, then transfer to the Red Line to the Fort Douglas Station on the campus of the University of Utah.
Campus Shuttle
The Blue, Red, and Orange routes of the Campus Shuttle can transport attendees between the University Guest House and the Student Union.
Hotel
If you have booked at either conference hotel, breakfast is included in your booking. Inquire at reception for further information.
The University Guest House is centrally located on the campus of the University of Utah, with proximity to the TRAX light rail system and campus shuttle.
The Salt Lake City Marriott University Park is conveniently located on the edge of the University of Utah campus.

On-Campus Parking
NW/MET has arranged for parking on campus for conference attendees. Parking on campus is handled through the MobilePay system. Follow these instructions or watch the video to learn how to use the system. The coupon code for parking on the University of Utah campus is: NWMET26
Parking on the Salt Lake City Community College South City Campus will not be enforced during Spring Break. Please do not park in reserved or metered spots.
Walking
The Olpin Union is a leisurely walk from the University Guest House. Follow this map to arrive in under 15 minutes.
Conference Shuttles
A shuttle will run to and from Salt Lake City Community College South City Campus from the University Guest House on Thursday, during the times below. It is approximately a 20-minute commute.
- Bus #1: 7:30am-10:00am and 3:00pm – 5:30pm
- Bus #2: 7:30am – 2:00pm
A shuttle will run to and from University Guest House to the Natural History Museum of Utah on Thursday, during the following times. It is approximately a 10-minute commute.
- Bus #1: 5:30pm – 6:30pm and 8:30pm – 10:30pm
- Bus #2: 5:30pm – 6:30pm
