New on nwmet.org: Jobs, Messaging, Discussion, and Conference History

Published by NW MET on

Welcome to the new NWMET.org! Same as the old NWMET.org, only more useful!

The NWMET website has undergone a major overhaul with new features for our members.

Discussion Forum

The NWMET Discussion is a members-only conversation that works as both a web board and an email list. Read and post on the website, or turn on email and reply from your inbox, with each message as it arrives or a single daily digest. Ask a question, compare notes on a project, or share what is working on your campus.

Private Messaging

Send a one-to-one message to another member without trading email addresses. Messaging stays off until you switch it on in your profile, so you only hear from other members if you choose to. Messages are text only, and you can block or report a sender at any time.

Open Private Messages

Jobs Board

Hiring at your institution? Post the opening where colleagues across the region will see it. Anyone can browse the board, and active NWMET members can post openings at their own institution. A posting stays up for 30 days, or up to 90 if you choose, and we will remind you before it expires. Each posting also earns you M$10 in MET Money, up to M$100 a year.

Conference History

Every NWMET conference now has a home on the site, going back to 1979. Each year shows its dates, city, and venue. Many conferences since 2002 also have their full schedule, exhibitors, and resources, along with more than 250 session recordings.

Getting started

Sign in with your NWMET account to post a job, send a message, or join the discussion. If you have not signed in for a while, take a minute to review your profile. It is where you turn on messaging, and completing it earns M$20 in MET Money to spend at the 2027 conference in Spokane.

Have a question, or found something that does not work as expected? Post it in the Discussion and we will see it.
