The NWMET 2027 Conference is Coming to Spokane!
The NWMET Conference is coming to Spokane, Washington, March 8–13, 2027!
Every year, NWMET brings together higher education professionals working at the intersection of audio-video technology, information technology, teaching, and learning. The 2027 conference is an opportunity to share what you have learned, explore new ideas, meet exhibitors, and build lasting connections with colleagues from across the region and beyond.
Our attendees include audio visual technicians and equipment specialists, information technology professionals, streaming and broadcast engineers, classroom technology managers and designers, teaching and learning managers, instructional designers, system and cloud service administrators, and computer lab supervisors.
Conference sessions explore the confluence of AV and IT, including technology in teaching and pedagogy, AV design and integration, accessibility and assistive technologies, distance learning, emerging technologies, media management, and related work.
Join us in Spokane
The NWMET 2027 Conference will be held at The Centennial Hotel, 303 West North River Drive in Spokane. Located along the Spokane River and Centennial Trail, the hotel is within walking distance of Riverfront Park, the Spokane Arena, downtown restaurants, and area attractions.
Conference room-block rates and reservation instructions will be announced as soon as they are available.

Registration for NWMET 2027 is available through Eventbrite. We look forward to welcoming you to Spokane in March.
Share your experience
Help shape the conference program by proposing a 50-minute full-length session or a 10-minute lightning-round presentation. Proposals are welcome from higher education professionals and industry partners, and at least one presenter must participate on site.
Session proposals are due January 4, 2027. Submitters will be notified by January 29.
Travel grants
NWMET offers a limited number of travel grants to higher education professionals who otherwise could not afford to attend. Awards may cover conference admission and meals or provide a Full Pass that also includes hotel accommodations and a fixed transportation and incidentals stipend.
Travel-grant applications are due January 4, 2027. Priority for Full Pass awards is given to applicants who also submit a presentation proposal, whether or not that proposal is accepted.
