2013 Conference
Theme: “Peering from the Peak”
hashtag: #NWMET13
Date:
Wednesday, June 26 through Friday, June 28
Content:
The theme of “Peering from the Peak” has a double meaning. It means looking from the peak, trying to get a view of the road ahead. It also means convening with peers to do this looking, and to determine the best paths or actions to take to move the use of technology in higher education from where we are now to where we need to be to meet the needs of the future. With peers amid the peaks of Montana, we met to communicate, collaborate, and collate experiences. Educational technology is moving at a pace that is anything but glacial. Together, we’ll reach the current summit of best practice and identify trails to the higher, more breathtaking vistas ahead.
- Large “unconference” component (first time in a long time, going back to the roots of NWMET)
- Lightning round presentations
- Dinner cruise on Flathead Lake
Location and Lodging:
