Announcing the 2021 Virtual Conference!

Published by webmaster on

Dear Members of the Northwest Managers of Educational Technology,

The Board of Directors of NW/MET is thrilled to announce that we will be partnering with eLearning Consortium of Colorado (eLCC) and the Northwest eLearning Community (NWeLearn) to bring you a joint online education conference, to be held between April 7 and 9, 2021.

In 2020, in the wake of national and international shutdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, eLCC pivoted rapidly from their traditional in-person conference to a spectacularly successfully online conference. NW/MET was not so lucky, and we were forced to cancel our in-person conference in Walla Walla, Washington, just days before the planned date.

As the pandemic rages on, every day bringing us new record highs in terms of infections and deaths, and travel restrictions continue. Once a conference goes virtual, regional considerations become less of a factor. Thus, for 2021, it makes sense to to partner with eLCC and leverage their expertise from 2020 to launch a joint conference with our friends at NWeLearn, rather than compete for attendees, presenters, and limited slots on the academic calendar.

In 2022 we intend to return to our traditional in-person conference, hosted between March 29 and April 1 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Look for more information on the 2022 conference in the coming months.

For 2021, we invite you to submit proposals for presentations here.

We look forward to seeing you online!
